How does the 7-day free trial on Hobby work?
Every new user receives a full-featured 7-day free trial of the Hobby tier with a credit card required upfront (you will not be charged until the trial ends, and can cancel anytime). You get access to 500K monthly AI credits, 2 workspaces, 150 knowledge graph nodes, and standard MCP integration. When your 7-day trial ends, your card will be billed to continue your Hobby subscription, or you can cancel anytime before then to transition to our permanent Free tier floor (1 workspace, 50 nodes) with all your projects preserved.
How does the 20% annual billing discount work?
When you choose Annual billing, you receive an immediate 20% discount on your subscription (equivalent to over 2 months free). You are billed once per year at the discounted rate and can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from your account settings.
Can I bring my own API keys (BYOK)?
Yes! All tiers, including Free, support Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, and local Ollama instances. On paid tiers, you receive both platform AI usage quota and unlimited BYOK flexibility.
What is Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how is it supported?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the open standard that enables autonomous agents to securely connect to external developer tools, file systems, and databases. Hobby includes standard local and community MCP clients, Pro adds multi-server orchestration and tool chaining, and Ultra offers hosted enterprise MCP instances with compliance logging.
What happens if I exceed my monthly AI credit or web crawl quota?
Your monthly allowances for AI Credits, sandbox minutes, and web crawls reset at the start of each calendar month. If you reach your ceiling before the end of the month, you can easily attach Monthly AI Credit Boosters with progressive volume discounts (from $1.50/mo for +1M up to 33% off at $1.00/1M on studio packs), upgrade to a higher tier with pro-rated billing, or continue using BYOK API keys without interruption.
How do team seats and live multiplayer collaboration work?
Paid plans allocate collaborative seats for your organization. Invited team members can co-author documents in real-time, view live collaborative cursors, interact with shared BKN knowledge graphs, and trigger agent workflows simultaneously.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime?
Absolutely. You can manage your subscription, switch plans, update payment methods, or cancel at any moment through the built-in Stripe Customer Billing Portal. Downgrades take effect at the conclusion of your current billing period.
